Prof. Jian Cheng

University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, China

Research Directions: Image processing and pattern recognition, computer vision, intelligent video surveillance and scene understanding, analysis and processing of three-dimensional scene information, and multi-source remote sensing image fusion and information mining.

Research Overview: He has been engaged in systematic research work focusing on image processing, pattern recognition, machine learning, computer vision, and multi-modal remote sensing image analysis. He has undertaken over 20 national and provincial scientific research projects, including subprojects of the National 973 Program, the National 863 Program, the National Natural Science Foundation projects, and scientific collaboration projects with enterprises. He has published more than 100 academic papers in important domestic and international academic journals and conferences, including IEEE Transactions and ISPRS, with over 30 papers indexed by SCI and more than 80 indexed by EI. Additionally, he has applied for over 30 national invention patents, with more than 10 patents authorized.

Prof. Jie Yang

Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China

Jie Yang received a bachelor’s degree in Automatic Control in Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), where a master’s degree in Pattern Recognition & Intelligent System was achieved three years later. In 1994, he received Ph.D. at Department of Computer Science, University of Hamburg, Germany. Now he is the Professor and Director of Institute of Image Processing and Pattern recognition in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is the principal investigator of more than 30 national and ministry scientific research projects in image processing, pattern recognition, data mining, and artificial intelligence. He has published six books,more than five hundred articles in national or international academic journals and conferences. Google citation over 22200,H-index 80. Up to now, he has supervised 5 postdoctoral, 46 doctors and 70 masters, awarded six research achievement prizes from ministry of Education, China and Shanghai municipality. Two Ph.D. dissertation he supervised was evaluated as “National Best Ph.D. Dissertation” in 2009 and in 2017.  Two Ph.D. dissertations he supervised were evaluated as “Shanghai Best Ph.D. Dissertation” in 2009 and 2010. He has owned 48 patents.

Prof. Dong Ren

China Three Gorges University, China

Dong Ren, Ph.D., Professor, Doctoral Supervisor. He received his Ph.D. from Jilin University in 2007. He is an academic leader of the "151 Talent Project" at China Three Gorges University. In the past three years, he has published over 50 papers, including 18 indexed by SCI and 21 by EI. He has received two provincial/ministerial level awards, authored 5 academic monographs, been granted 1 invention patent, and served as principal investigator for 5 national-level projects and 2 provincial/ministerial level projects. His current research funding totals 4 million RMB.

Prof. Shijie Zhao

Northwestern Polytechnical University, China

Shijie Zhao, Tenured Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Northwestern Polytechnical University. He is Vice Chair of the Medical Image Computing Young Scholar Workshop (MICS), a review expert for both the conference and correspondence sessions of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a member of the Visual Cognition and Computing Committee of the China Society of Image and Graphics, a member of the Brain Atlas Committee of the China Society of Image and Graphics, a member of the Bioinformatics and Artificial Life Committee of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, and the Communications Chair of MICCAI 2022.

Prof. Renwei Dian

Hunan University, China

Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Hunan University. He has been selected for the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Young Scientists Fund of the NSFC, the Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program (Bo Xin Program), the Huxiang Young Talents program, and the Hunan Provincial Outstanding Youth Science Fund. He has established theoretical methods for hyperspectral fusion imaging and developed high spatial resolution hyperspectral imaging devices. As first/corresponding author, he has published 27 papers in prestigious journals and conferences such as IEEE TPAMI, IJCV, IEEE TIP, and CVPR, including 9 ESI highly cited papers. He holds 19 authorized invention patents. His awards include: the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award (ranked 2nd), the Youth Scientist Award of the China Society of Image and Graphics (CSIG), the Outstanding Youth Award of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), the CSIG Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award (2020), the Guo Guangcan Optics Award of the Chinese Optical Society (under the Science and Technology Innovation Award), the Jin Guofan Youth Scholar Award of the China Instrument and Control Society, the Best Student Paper Nomination Award at the IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), the First Prize (Champion) of the Guangdong‑Hong Kong‑Macao Greater Bay Area International Algorithm Competition, and the Champion of the Multimodal Multi‑Person Interaction Speaker Prediction Competition at ACM Multimedia.
